BOOT FFreedom is not a concept. It’s a commitment. And for the brave men and women who are serving or have served our great country, their commitment is clear for all to see. But how committed are you to them? Boot Campaign began when average Americans chose to outwardly express their gratitude for active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families by lacing up one of the most visible signs of military service: combat boots. Today their vision is personalized, and precision care is given to everyone who has laced up their boots to protect and defend our freedoms. Through thier programs, they work to treat the root cause of hidden wounds of war or ease financial strain to produce quantifiable, long-lasting, and life-changing results. They achieve this through financial transparency, by providing individualized attention to those they serve and those who support their efforts and remaining adaptable to the most pressing needs of the Veteran community. In 2022, 91 cents of every dollar donated to Boot Campaign went directly to their mission-driven programs for Veterans and military families. THE FACE OF Robyn Crosswhite REVIVE SKIN CLINIC & AESTHETICS, PLLC WHAT MAKES YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS UNIQUE FROM COMPETITORS? My unique consultation process sets us apart. I initiate every consultation by providing my patients with a mirror and inviting them to share one aspect of their facial features that they adore. This approach often catches patients by surprise, as they may initially focus on their perceived flaws or concerns. I use this method for two purposes. First, it allows us to address and rule out any potential issues related to body dysmorphia, and secondly, it serves as a powerful reminder of their innate beauty. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SUPPORTER? My husband, Toppie. He has supported me throughout my 15 year nursing career from CNA, LVN, RN, to Family Nurse Practitioner, to now being a business owner. WHAT THREE WORDS WOULD YOUR FRIENDS USE TO DESCRIBE YOU? Driven, Compassionate and Inspiring WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WEST TEXAS? The stunning sunsets and the people. I know the residents of West Texas to have a warm sense of hospitality and strong sense of community. They consistently demonstrate their willingness to come together during times of adversity and tragedy. WHEN YOU WERE A KID, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? THE FACE OF Kevin Foreman, CPA FOREMAN FINANCIAL - RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL SERVICES WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED OR WOULD GIVE? One of the world’s most famous investors, Warren Buffet, said, “Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.” I use this quote when guiding my clients through the highs and lows of the market. HOW DO THE RESIDENTS OF THE PB BENEFIT FROM YOUR BUSINESS? Our recent expansion to Odessa, with the retirement of another RJ advisor, has allowed us to expand our financial planning footprint in the area. Though we still value the advantages of face-to-face client planning sessions and meetings, we have learned to navigate more efficiently the benefits of doing business in an increasingly virtual world. This helps makes our physical office boundaries less constraining and we enjoy being able to serve a broader community of clients. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WEST TEXAS? Definitely the people. The entrepreneurial spirit found in West Texas is hard to match in other areas of the state, or anywhere else, for that matter. In addition, the ability to know my clients on a more personal level can be attributed to the friendly spirit of community found here. “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care,” are words I live by to help build lasting relationships with my clients. WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS INDUSTRY? From planning for college tuition to retirement and estate planning, and everything in between, I am grateful and honored that I have the opportunity to significantly impact the future for my clients and their families throughout all different phases of their lives. 1201 W Illinois Ave, Midland 432.620.9555 KevinForemanFinancial.com Wealth Management 9 hometown living at its best 2024 FACES of The Permian Basin

Serving over 300 families, SHARE aims to provide support, fellowship, resources, empathy, and accessible activities to all members of the family. They think it is so fun to watch Mommy work and to be my special helpers for a day and in return I love showing them that work should be fun and to pursue what you love to do and for me that is to help others grow their businesses! -Katie WHAT HOBBIES DO YOU ENJOY WHEN NOT HARD AT WORK? When I’m not developing relationships with business owners and doing my best to help them thrive, I enjoy working out at Hotworx, a good girl’s dinner, or going on outdoor adventures with my son. We live for summertime and sunshine! -Amber 817.599.6761 HometownMedia.group Hometown Magazines 27 hometown living at its best 2024 FACES of The Permian Basin

28 faces of the permian basin | hometownmedia.group IIn 2003, a group of employees from Haliburton Baroid came together to organize a sporting clays tournament to support a fellow colleague facing financial hardships. The success of this event ignited a passionate commitment within the group to extend their helping hand to oilfield families grappling with adversity caused by injury, illness or natural disasters. From this humble beginning, Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH) has expanded its presence to multiple chapters spanning regions across the United States. Over the years, their collective efforts have raised more than $6 million, all dedicated to providing relief to oilfield families in need. Through charitable events, they have not only helped those in need but have also succeeded in fostering unity within the oil and gas industry. To date, OHH has made a profound impact by assisting 1,030 recipients hailing from 432 different companies. OHH invites volunteers who share their passion for making a positive impact, whether as a free individual member or through a corporate membership, to join and enjoy combining philanthropy and fun. 32 faces of the permian basin | hometownmedia.group T OF WEST TEXAS Think for a moment about all the things in a day that require language– to express yourself and understand others. For example, saying good morning to a spouse, reading a recipe, looking up the weather, responding to email, making a grocery list, or calling a friend. It is difficult to imagine your day without some form of communication, but this is a reality for individuals diagnosed with aphasia. Aphasia is a communication impairment caused by a traumatic brain injury, typically a stroke. It affects a person’s expression and understanding of language, as well as the ability to read and write. For twenty years, the Aphasia Center of West Texas has provided people with aphasia a vast network of resources and weekly groups. It is a safe place for survivors and their loved ones to learn communication strategies that help relieve the daily frustration of living with aphasia. Much like going to a gym for a physical workout, Aphasia Center members get a communication workout using adaptive techniques like drawing, gestures, and pictures when words fail. Executive Director Kitty Binek shares, “Insurance does not cover Aphasia Center services. We are tremendously grateful for friends like Cathy Eastham who help make our services possible.” The Center’s fund- and friend-raising events included Chocolate Decadence and the Aphasia Awareness Concert. In addition, an annual campaign and the new Speak Up! Sustainers Circle ensures all West Texans with aphasia have a place to connect, communicate, and live well. 34 faces of the permian basin | hometownmedia.group YYoung Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust, and consistency. Young Life leaders log many hours with kids —where they are, as they are. Leaders faithfully attend sports practices and games at the schools, meet and mingle with teenagers at lunch, and do endless other activities throughout the week. They listen to their stories and learn what’s important to them because they genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches, and setbacks. Young Life believes in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning, and purpose. This is the first step of a lifelong journey. The choices they make today, based upon God’s love for them, will impact future decisions ... careers chosen, marriages formed, and families raised. 37 hometown living at its best THE FACE OF Meredith Hulsey, DO MEDICAL CENTER HEALTH SYSTEM WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS INDUSTRY? Medicine gave me the opportunity to blend biology and community. I love anatomy. Through college, it was always my favorite course no matter the creature I was studying. Yet providing empathy and clarity during another’s struggling moments is a privilege that I chiefly value. Integrating science knowledge with human connection results in life satisfaction for me. HOW ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE PERMIAN BASIN COMMUNITY? My husband and I have rescued 22 dogs off the byways of Odessa this last year since partnering with Dogs Rescue R Us, a rescue based in Gardendale. The thousands of neglected and abandoned dogs in the PB needing a second chance inspired us to participate. We foster and sponsor supermix breed dogs—they have the best of all breed features combined! We also donate to help these same dogs transport to states that have stronger animal protection laws; where mixed breeds are rarer and desired. HOW DO THE RESIDENTS OF PERMIAN BASIN BENEFIT FROM YOUR BUSINESS? The residents of the Permian are my patients and customers.
