I have been a part of 4-H for 10 years and am involved in Market and Commercial Steers, Meat Judging, Livestock Quiz Bowl and the Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador Program WHY IS BEING IN 4-H IMPORTANT TO YOU? It has given me confidence and shaped my work ethic and leadership. The hands-on experience has given me a deeper respect for agriculture that will stay with me forever. The program has impacted me in the friendships I’ve made through showing steers, participating in meat judging, and serving as a Livestock Ambassador. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE AND WHAT WILL YOU STUDY? I plan to attend Texas Tech University and pursue a degree in Agribusiness, with a possible minor in Animal Science. This pathway will prepare me for a future in the meat or livestock industry, where I hope to build a meaningful and lasting career. My ultimate goal is to one day own my own branded meat company or packing plant, creating high quality products that reflect my passion for agriculture and the livestock community. 4-H SPOTLIGHT Graduates
