10 When the idea for WTX Bliss first came up, I was immediately excited. It’s something our West Texas community has needed for a long time. I’ve been a wedding photographer here for many years. I love weddings, capturing someone’s biggest day is a privilege and I am honored with that. Through my work, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible talent in our area—kind, hardworking people who truly love what they do and the clients they serve. I’ve watched them behind the scenes in their shops, at wedding expos, and on long wedding weekends. These “Signature Vendors” have become my work family. That’s why creating this magazine felt special. I knew it would be a win for everyone. Brides need guidance and trusted recommendations, and vendors deserve a beautiful, lasting platform to showcase their work. WTX Bliss is meant to be that starting place— connecting couples with the amazing professionals who make weddings so special. We’re also honored to feature “The Bliss Collection” showcasing real couples and weddings from our community. This allows us to inspire future brides while celebrating the love stories that make this work so meaningful. Our team hopes you enjoy the first edition of WTX Bliss. This project has been close to our hearts, and the goal was to create something valuable and beautiful. Angela Gonzales

Reese & Landry Alford The Wedding Day The Alford wedding was a bright, joyful, and lively celebration held entirely at The Way Retreat Center. With a garden-inspired style and a fresh spring palette, the setting created a welcoming atmosphere where guests could relax and fully enjoy every moment of the day. From the start, the couple’s main focus was making sure their guests had just as much fun as they did. That mindset shaped a celebration that felt effortless, personal, and full of energy. One of the most memorable details came when custom trucker hats reading “From Midland With Love” were passed out to kick off the dance floor. The favors were a nod to their roots in Midland and a fun way to welcome out-of-town friends experiencing the city for the first time. Family traditions and sentimental touches were thoughtfully woven throughout the day. The bride honored her mother by choosing monochrome bridesmaids bouquets, just as her mom had done 25 years earlier. She also gifted her dad and father-in-law custom ties featuring childhood photos of the couple hidden on the back. During cocktail hour, nearly 50 family wedding photos were displayed, celebrating the love stories that paved the way for their own. The evening ended on a lighthearted note when the DJ played the Texas A&M War Hymn at the request of the bride’s grandfather, a lifelong Texas Tech fan. Surrounded by laughter, the moment perfectly captured the joy and humor that defined their wedding day. The Love Story Their story began in Midland, where they grew up just a year apart in age and even attended the same middle school for a year, yet never crossed paths. It wasn’t until her second year at Texas A&M that they officially met, connecting over their shared hometown and college experience. From there, casual conversations turned into something more, and she admits she was determined to get him to take her on a date. The proposal was just as unforgettable. While traveling in South Africa with both of their families, Landry was completely unsuspecting. Used to her mom insisting on family photos during vacations, she had no idea what was coming and never imagined he would carry a ring across 22 hours and three countries to surprise her! Advice from the Bride “If you want the dance floor to be fun and lively, stay out there! Wherever the bride and groom are, most people will be.” r04.12.25 17

Weldon & Avery Ann Boley The Wedding Day The Boley’s celebrated their timeless West Texas wedding at The Gage Gardens at the Historic Gage Hotel, a venue especially meaningful since it is where Avery’s parents married 30 years ago. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Marathon, Texas, their ceremony and reception embraced a classic aesthetic with a soft palette of white, champagne, and hints of French blue. The couple’s priority was honoring the region they grew up in and sharing its quiet beauty with their closest friends and family. Their day featured thoughtful, sentimental details that made the celebration truly their own. The bride wore her grandmother’s jewelry, and the groom gifted her a pearl necklace once worn by his mother. At the reception, the head table was set with Mottahedeh China belonging to Avery’s mother and Avery’s bouquet was wrapped with the handkerchief her mother carried on her wedding day, with the bride’s monogram added just before the ceremony. They described their wedding as stunning, timeless, magical, and unforgettable. Their favorite moment was seeing each other for the first time; a heartfelt exchange filled with love and anticipation. The Love Story Avery and Weldon’s story began at a concert, where mutual friends introduced them and an instant connection formed. What started as a fun night out quickly grew into something meaningful as they discovered how naturally they fit together. When it came time to propose, Weldon planned a thoughtful surprise at the historic Fulton Mansion in Rockport, Texas. He chose the location for its beauty and charm, wanting the moment to feel timeless. On the mansion grounds, he got down on one knee and asked Avery to marry him. Through happy tears, she said yes. The surprises didn’t end there. Weldon then took Avery to her parents’ home, where family and friends were waiting to celebrate the newly engaged couple. Surrounded by loved ones, Avery and Weldon began their next chapter with joy, excitement, and the same easy connection that first brought them together. Advice from the Bride “Don't allow the stress of planning cause you to miss the fun that comes with planning the event that will begin a wonderful new chapter with the one you love the most!” r10.18.25 27

Will & Hannah Ellerbe The Wedding Day The Ellerbe wedding day was a joyful, heartfelt, and romantic celebration rooted in tradition and personal meaning. The ceremony took place at First Christian Church, a location deeply significant to the bride, who grew up in the church and now attends there alongside her husband. Surrounded by family and friends in their hometown of Midland, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that felt both timeless and profoundly personal. Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a classic and elegant reception at the Petroleum Club of Midland. The celebration reflected a romantic vision brought to life through a soft and vibrant color palette of blush and warm pinks, peach and coral tones, pops of bright rose, and accents of sage and olive green. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to balance tradition with the couple’s own unique style, creating an atmosphere that felt refined, welcoming, and full of joy. Family legacy played a meaningful role throughout the day. Wedding photos from grandparents, parents, and siblings were displayed along the bar, honoring the marriages that came before them. The bride’s nieces and nephews served as flower girls and ring bearers, including a tender moment when a toddler ring bearer pulled the baby ring bearer down the aisle in a wagon handcrafted by the bride’s late grandfather 35 years earlier. The bride also wore her mother’s sapphire bracelet, a gift from her father decades ago, adding another layer of sentiment. Choosing not to do a first look made the ceremony even more special. Seeing each other for the first time down the aisle and exchanging vows in front of loved ones became their favorite moment, one they will cherish forever as the beginning of their life together. The Love Story Their story is one built on years of shared history and deep family connections. They have known each other since the bride’s family moved to Midland in 1996. The groom grew up alongside the bride’s sister, their older brothers were best friends, and both families often crossed paths at gatherings, trips, and celebrations. Despite their many connections, they did not begin dating until February 2024, when Hannah invited Will on a walk. Those weekly walks quickly became a tradition and led to their first official date at a charity bingo night. Will proposed one year later at his home, cooking dinner to celebrate their anniversary. Afterward, he surprised Hannah by getting down on one knee. The evening ended celebrating the big event with family. Advice from the Bride “Social media can be an amazing tool when you’re planning a wedding. It’s full of creative ideas, helpful tips, and inspiration you may never have thought of on your own but don’t fall into the trap of comparing your plans, budget, or timeline to what you see online. You don’t need to recreate every trend, aesthetic, or every elaborate detail. Let it spark ideas, then put your own heart, meaning, and personality into your wedding. The best weddings aren’t the most “Pinterest-perfect", they’re the ones that feel like you.” r11.01.25 36

Daniel & Isabella Frazer The Wedding Day Daniel and Isabella’s wedding day was a heartfelt celebration rooted in love and pure joy. The ceremony took place at First Methodist Church in Midland, a meaningful setting that reflected the bride’s desire to marry close to home and surrounded by the people who know them best. Following the ceremony, guests gathered at Midland Polo Club for a reception that perfectly blended rustic charm with an inviting, relaxed atmosphere. The wedding style was rustic and romantic, brought to life through a soft, thoughtfully curated color palette of blush pink, dusty rose, peach, soft blue, ivory, and sage green. These gentle tones created a warm and welcoming environment that felt both elegant and effortless. From the beginning, the couple prioritized enjoying the planning process rather than stressing over perfection. Their goal was simple: to have fun and create a day that felt joyful, memorable, and true to who they are. One of the most touching details of the day honored a beloved family member. After the bride’s dog, Daisy, passed away before the wedding, the groom surprised her with a handmade daisy necklace so Daisy could still be part of their special day. It was a meaningful gesture that added even more emotion to an already unforgettable celebration. With countless favorite moments, the day was filled with laughter, love, and connection. From two best friends getting married, to celebrating alongside family, friends, dogs, and horses, the wedding was everything they hoped for. The Love Story Their love story began in Breckenridge, Colorado, where they met while skiing and snowmobiling with the same group of friends. What started as a shared circle and mutual adventures quickly grew into a close friendship that lasted about a year and a half before turning into something more. The proposal was just as meaningful and perfectly true to their story. During what seemed like a normal day on the slopes, with plans to ski a few runs before heading into town for lunch, he surprised her halfway down the Y-Chutes by getting down on one knee. Completely caught off guard, she said yes in the very place where their friendship first began, making the moment unforgettable. Advice from the Bride “Your wedding day is going to be perfect no matter what! You are marrying the one you love most and it doesn’t get much better than that. Don’t stress about everything needing to be perfect or about all the details and decisions you have to make. The wedding day comes and goes so fast, so enjoy every moment while you can!” r10.11.25 47

Marcus & Serena Matta The Wedding Day The couple celebrated their dream wedding day beginning with a heartfelt ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine Catholic Church, followed by a beautiful reception at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena. Their vision blended modern and classic elements, brought to life through a romantic color palette of blush pink, wine, black, and champagne. From the very beginning, they centered their planning around the true meaning of the day, wanting their ceremony to feel personal and deeply reflective of their love story. Throughout the celebration, meaningful touches added warmth and personality. A special in memory table honored loved ones who had passed, reminding everyone of the presence of family both past and present. One of the most sentimental details came in the form of the bride’s jewelry, as she wore her grandmother’s bracelet, a cherished piece that tied generations together on such an important day. The atmosphere of the day was filled with joy, intention, and gratitude as friends and family gathered to witness the beginning of their life together. While there were many beautiful moments, the bride’s favorite was simple and profound. Standing beside the man she loves and finally being able to say “I do” was the moment she will treasure forever. The Love Story Their love story began through a simple introduction by her cousin, a connection that quickly grew into something meaningful. What started as a casual meeting soon turned into a relationship rooted in friendship, comfort, and shared values. The couple’s journey reached a beautiful milestone on the day of her college graduation. Surrounded by family and celebrating one of her biggest accomplishments, he used the moment to create an even more unforgettable memory. In the middle of the celebration, he surprised her with a proposal that blended joy, pride, and love all in one perfect moment. Advice from the Bride “Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so go for the extra bells and whistles. It is one of the few days when everyone you love is in the same room celebrating your story. Enjoy every minute of it!” r10.18.25 57

Cort & Rylee Miller The Wedding Day The Miller’s wedding day was a radiant, Christ-centered celebration held at The Way Retreat Center in Midland, where both the ceremony and reception took place. The setting created an intimate atmosphere that allowed the couple to focus on what mattered most, their faith, their marriage, and the covenant they were making before God. The day was designed with a classic, timeless style, featuring a soft palette of white and blue with subtle hints of blush pink. While every detail was thoughtfully planned, the couple intentionally kept the focus on their relationship and the spiritual significance of the day. One of the most meaningful moments came during the ceremony when the bride’s cousin and one of her bridesmaids sang “Holy, Holy, Holy,” accompanied by a string quartet, creating a powerful and worshipful experience before the exchange of vows. Family legacy played a special role throughout the celebration. A generations-oflove table displayed wedding photos from both families, honoring marriages that spanned back to great-great-great grandparents. The bride also wore her mother’s wedding dress to the rehearsal dinner, beautifully transformed with the help of her grandmother. The evening ended with a joyful dance party, surrounded by loved ones, a moment the couple will always cherish. The Love Story Their story began in Midland, where they both grew up as athletes and were familiar with each other through sports. While they knew of one another for years, their relationship truly began after graduating from high school, when conversations turned into dating and their connection quickly grew. The proposal was a complete surprise. Cort enlisted one of her bridesmaids to invite her to what she thought was a simple girls’ night downtown for photos and dessert. Instead, Cort tapped her on the shoulder and proposed, catching her completely off guard. The moment was followed by a surprise engagement party with family and close friends, making it a perfect and unforgettable celebration. Advice from the Bride “Keep the focus on your marriage. Don’t let the planning stress you out, but have fun with it and enjoy the special time planning a wedding because you can never go back and do it again!” r06.21.25 68

Ross & Ava Leigh Pellegrin The Wedding Day Set against the wide-open beauty of West Texas, Ross and Ava Leigh’s wedding day was a heartfelt blend of desert romance and rustic charm. The ceremony took place in the Gage Gardens at the historic Gage Hotel, where natural surroundings set the tone for an intimate and meaningful celebration. The evening continued at The Ritchey Building, where guests gathered for a reception that was warm, personal, and full of energy. From the beginning, the couple focused on authenticity. They wanted a day that felt true to who they are, romantic and rooted in friendship, with an unforgettable rock-’n’-roll spirit. Their color palette drew inspiration from the desert in winter, featuring caliche tan, bone white, dusty wheat, sagebrush green, terracotta, and dried grasses. Every detail reflected the raw textures and natural beauty of the landscape they love. One of the most unique moments of the day came when close friend Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top officiated the ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle to his song “Asleep in the Desert,” making the moment even more personal. To honor family legacy, all four sets of grandparents, each married more than 62 years, processed down the aisle together. Their favorite moment came just after the ceremony, sharing their first moments as husband and wife beneath a glowing West Texas sunset on quiet dirt roads they consider home. The Love Story The Pellegrin’s love story began long before adulthood, stretching all the way back to second grade. They grew up together, attending the same middle and high school, and eventually began dating during their senior year. Life took them in different directions for college, with her attending Ole Miss and him heading to LSU, but their connection never truly faded. During their senior years of college, they found their way back to one another, rekindling the relationship that had always felt familiar and right. From that point on, they have been inseparable. The proposal was just as thoughtful and meaningful. While in Colorado Springs for a summer trip, he completely caught her by surprise and invited her on a quiet walk by a lake before dinner and proposed there, surrounded by the beauty of the moment. The surprise continued when they arrived at dinner to find their close family waiting for them. Knowing how important family is to her, he arranged for everyone to travel to them, making the proposal unforgettable and deeply personal. Advice from the Bride “Never lose sight of the true meaning of marriage and how blessed you are that God brought you together. Things can get crazy while planning a wedding and there are lots of opinions to juggle, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is your love!” r01.11.25 79

92 Matthieu & Marina Robles The Wedding Day At The Surrey House and Gardens, a soft Nancy Meyers inspired vision came to life as the couple exchanged vows surrounded by the calm, comforting beauty of an intimate gathering. Their blue and green palette set a fresh, timeless tone, perfectly complementing the peaceful flow they hoped their wedding day would carry. From the beginning, their priority was simple: create a day that felt genuine, unrushed, and centered on the meaning of marriage rather than the pressures of a production. Instead of a rigid timeline, they invited guests to relax and enjoy the morning at their own pace. Following the ceremony, everyone was welcomed with brunch, mimosas, and yard games in an atmosphere that felt less like an event and more like a joyful family gathering. The slower rhythm allowed guests to savor the day, and with festivities ending mid-afternoon, many extended the celebration into a long weekend in the city. Heartfelt details made the day distinctly their own. Their flower girl tossed hydrangeas, the bride’s favorite, which guests held onto as sweet keepsakes. A memorial table honored loved ones who had passed, ensuring their presence was felt. In one of the most meaningful moments of the day, the couple shared communion at the altar, marking their first act of marriage with deep intention. The bride’s favorite memory happened before she even arrived at the venue. Worship music, prayer, and the quiet assurance of God’s presence surrounded her as close family friends drove her to the chapel. It set the tone for a day that was, in her words, intimate, timeless, and perfect. The Love Story Their story began at their church’s Christmas Eve service in 2023 when Matt’s mom introduced them just before worship began. The moment was brief, but it stuck with him. Months later on Easter Sunday, they were introduced again. After she followed him back on Instagram, Matt reached out, and they’ve talked every day since. Their proposal was just as thoughtful as their beginning. For their one-year dating anniversary, the couple planned a staycation with a nice hotel and a special dinner. While they were out, Matt’s parents slipped into their room and filled it with hydrangeas and roses, one dozen for each month of their relationship. When she opened the door, completely unaware of the surprise, she saw the flowers and candles before turning to find Matt on one knee. Advice from the Bride r10.10.25 “It’s your wedding, so focus on what matters to you and your partner, not what anyone else wants. At the end of the day, it’s for the two of you. Keep God at the center and all points of contention will work themselves out.”

103 Henry & Cloe Thiessen The Wedding Day Cloe and Henry were married at Eberley Brooks Events in Lubbock, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. From the moment the day began, there was a sense that this celebration was something truly special. Everything felt dreamy and emotional in the best possible way, the kind of wedding that almost doesn’t feel real while you’re living it, yet leaves a lasting imprint long after it ends. At the heart of their wedding day were faith, family, and genuine connection. Those values shaped every part of the celebration, from the ceremony to the reception, creating an atmosphere that felt deeply personal and intentional. Each moment reflected who Cloe and Henry are, not just as a couple, but as individuals stepping into marriage with purpose and gratitude. Laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt conversations filled the space as loved ones gathered to celebrate this next chapter alongside them. One of the most meaningful moments of the day came when Cloe and Henry saw each other for the first time. The emotion was raw, genuine, and unforgettable, setting the tone for everything that followed. It was a moment that captured the depth of their love and the significance of the commitment they were making. As the day unfolded, it became clear that this was more than just a wedding. It was a joyful beginning to a life built on faith, love, and shared purpose, a day they will cherish forever. The Love Story Cloe and Henry met through mutual friends, and what began as easy conversation and shared time together quickly grew into something deeper. The more time they spent together, the more natural their connection felt, and it soon became clear they were meant to be. Henry proposed during a picnic he planned at a park in Midland, thoughtfully bringing food from Cloe’s favorite restaurant. One of Cloe’s favorite early memories is the first time Henry opened the car door for her when they met. It was a simple, thoughtful gesture that offered a glimpse of the care and attentiveness that continue to define their relationship today. Advice from the Bride “Stay present. The day goes by so fast, and it’s the simple moments that stay with you forever.” r12.16.25

Riley & Sterling Workman The Wedding Day Riley and Sterling’s wedding day was everything they dreamed of and more, a timeless and elegant celebration that felt both elevated and deeply personal. With both the ceremony and reception taking place at Sabrina Cedars, the day unfolded seamlessly in a setting that transformed beautifully from start to finish. A neutral color palette of layered taupes, ivory, white, and subtle hints of black created a refined foundation, allowing every detail to feel intentional and thoughtfully curated. Throughout the planning process, the bride focused on meaningful details that made the day feel unique. From carefully chosen florals to personal touches woven throughout the décor, everything was designed to feel special and unlike anything guests had seen before. One of those touches included custom iced cookies featuring the couple’s miniature schnauzers, complete with pink and white bow ties, allowing their beloved dogs to be part of the celebration. The ceremony itself was truly one of a kind. The couple exchanged vows on a circular platform placed in the center of their guests, with seating arranged in a half-circle around them. The platform was fully adorned with baskets overflowing with florals, creating an intimate and immersive experience. One of the bride’s favorite moments came earlier in the day, watching from a small balcony as the space transformed. Arriving to a blank slate that morning and witnessing it slowly come to life was a quiet, magical moment she will always cherish. The Love Story Riley and his bride met in high school, even though they had attended the same school for years. While they always knew of each other, it wasn’t until they were seated next to one another in a dual credit class during her senior year and his junior year that they truly connected. What began as minimal conversation quickly turned into constant talking and flirting, earning them more than one warning about being moved to different seats. They began dating almost immediately and managed to finish the school year sitting side by side. The proposal was a complete surprise. With the help of her mom, Riley carefully planned the moment for December 22, when family would already be in town for the holidays. During the family’s annual trip to see Christmas lights, a staged car issue led to a walk where glowing “Marry Me” signs awaited. Family and friends were hidden nearby to witness the special moment. Advice from the Bride “Take time to really soak in each day leading up to your wedding. All the stress and worry about making every detail perfect is worth it when you finally see your vision come to life. This season of your life is something you get to experience once in a lifetime, so make the most of it!” r09.13.25 112
